Windows 7 Tablet Tunning Tips


  • Optimize video display performance- Turn off the Aero graphics system as it is very high overhead and doing this will increase system performance.
  • Tablet Friendly Scroll bars- Scroll bars are set for normal computer usage (mouse/keyboard), for a tablet with a touch screen you need to widen them to create a more usable interface. Go to Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Personalization select color and next scroll bar then adjust the size to your preference.
  • Adjust services based on usage- Disable unnecessary services using MSCONFIG it is a great way to free up resources.
  • Cleanup startup - Remove access programs from the startup service using MSCONFIG.
